Out on 22nd April 2013 is the brand new single from Atheen called Shine. Atheen will be performing at a few events to promote the single and is lining up a couple of radio interviews.

This song is a particular favourite of Atheen’s as it’s in the vein of some of her favourite songwriters and influences, including Alanis Morissette and Linda Perry.

On Saturday 13th April, Nick Ward will be supporting DC Fontana at The Globe, Cardiff. Nick has had a few high-profile support slots at The Globe and this one sees him performing a solo acoustic set.

Now available for preview is the brand new duet from Nick Ward and Atheen called Now There Is Nothing.

The track is penned by Nick and produced by Atheen. Originally put together as a demo, Nick was going to find an artist closer to home to record the finished version with.

However after doing so much work on it, he chose to release it with Atheen’s vocals. As a result, the pair have still not met, even sending in separately taken images for the artwork.

Nick Ward Supporting Simon Townsend at The Factory

Originally scheduled for October, this gig at The Factory in Porth was moved to December to accommodate Simon playing some tour dates with The Who over in the US.

Due to the changes, tickets are now available for only £5, so it’s a great opportunity to see two great artists in one night.

Atheen has released another track via her website www.atheen.com. ‘What You Have Done’ was a collaboration between Atheen and guitarist Dave Hards and is taken from the Waited album.

Four more tracks to go and we’ll be releasing the whole album to all of the major download stores.

There’s another new single release from Atheen via her website this week. You Deserve is written and produced by Atheen and features a couple of online collaborations with other musicians.

The song is part of her Waited album which is currently being remixed ready for distribution on AudioFile. It’s currently available from her site www.atheen.com/store

We have a brand new single on release today from Lisa Polson. Every part of me is the fourth release and another self-penned track.

Out today is Lisa Polson’s version of Damien Rice track Cannonball. Lisa performs vocals and acoustic guitar, while the track has been produced by Atheen.

Lisa recorded the song as part of her debut album release, having no idea that X-Factor would be releasing the same song as a Christmas track.

While we originally planned to release another song before this, we thought we would give you an alternative version of Cannonball to listen to instead and so we’re releasing it through select stores before it goes to the mainstream download sites.

A new addition to the roster this month is UK artist Atheen. Atheen has two albums already written which will be remastered and released on AudioFile over the Summer.

Early influences include Tori Amos, Alanis Morissette and a host of 60s rock artists, such as Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin and Cream.

While her first release is more singer / songwriter and piano based in its nature, the second is more 60s rock tinged with cry babies and hammond organs.
